Evan & Sarah Wedding | Star Wars Themed Wedding | Livermore, CA

Did you know that Modesto is the hometown of the Star War’s universe creator George Lucas? The number of people that have probably met and talked with Evan and not talked about Star Wars is few and far between. It was not know if Sarah was a huge fan of Star Wars before meeting Evan, but Star Wars elements were settly integrated into different parts of their wedding day so well just say that she is okay with it.

Elegant Star Wars Theme

Evan and Sarah’s wedding was fandom worth without being at all cheesy. Everything was very well done in the decorations, planning, and execution with the help of Cora Bella Weddings & Events who put everything together. Because it was a hot summer day, Evan and Sarah to provide the guest with a paper fan that had the wedding party names of those who would be standing by their side. Of course this fan was printed with Star Wars elements all over it!

But what was even more decorated in the theme was the reception venue at The Clubhouse. From a Death Star guest book to light sabers gifts and decorations, Star Wars things were everywhere! But the entire look came together with florals and lanterns (they were made by a family member).

Three Favorite Moments

Before the wedding, Sarah messaged me to let me know that they were going to write personalized vows. No one else knew including her family. It was a beautiful moment to see both sets of parents watching their children make a commitment to one another using their own words.

There were three first looks: the bridal party, Sarah’s father, and to Evan. The bridal’s party was sweet as they all had the look of happiness and joy that their best friend is getting married! Sarah’s father was the more emotional one. Tears streaming down his face as he couldn’t believe that his little girl is going to become a married woman. And Evan. During the getting ready portion of the day, Evan wanted to just get ready and leave really fast. Almost a little too fast as they almost ran into each other! You can visually see Evan’s nerve go away as he was able to finally see his bride.

Last but certainly not least was the dancing. I will admit that I totally judge a crowd if they are going to give a dance party or not. But thanks to the high energy of the guests and Jason’s (Pendulum Pro) awesome DJ skills- this party was on fire! Everyone was dancing, having fun, and singing their heart out to modern and classic songs. The dancing was so much fun to watch and to capture!
