It feels as if it was yesterday when I met Macenzie. She was the wedding coordinator for Tyler & Rebecka’s wedding in Geyserville, CA. It was only couple months before her wedding, so the probability of finding a vendor available for her wedding is pretty slim as most photographers and videographers are booked a year in advance. She asked me if I was available on October 19th and if I was willing to travel to Santa Cruz. Lucky for Trevor and Macenzie I was! Super stoked to have film #bigtrevlittlemac’s Santa Cruz wedding.
The Santa Cruz Wedding Video Experience
I cannot beginning to tell you how many beautiful moments there were at this Santa Cruz wedding. Without giving too much away, Trevor and Macenzie got married at Trevor’s parents’ private estate. The main house is on top of a steep and long hill that had a driveway where a couple of cars needed to shuttle guests back and forth on from their cars to the top of the hill. But WOW was the view gorgeous! There were two parts to the property that the wedding rotated through. The ceremony site was in the front and the reception was in the backyard. But the dance floor was back where the ceremony site was at!
The colors for this wedding were jeweled tone. The arch for the ceremony had lovely red florals by Floral Designs by Heather that match Macenize’s beautiful smelling bouquet. The landscape was breathtaking as everything was green, flowers were everywhere, and the weather was slightly cloudy, warm sun, and a slight pacific ocean breeze.
Funny Side Story
I do not know if I was too excited to shoot a Santa Cruz wedding. But instead of going straight to the private estate, I went to Macenzie’s Airbnb where she was getting her hair and makeup done by KaLa Ketchum. Silly mistake, but thankfully we arrived early enough to where we were not too far.
