The Beauty of a Morning Couples Session
If you are a lover of sleep, the rising of the morning sun can be the villain to the start any date. Props to Jace and Stephanie who was willing enough to have a morning couples session despite having a late night shift at work the day prior! Mornings can reveal a lot about a person: if you need coffee to survive the early hours, or if you have a need for a routine to actually have a productive morning, or you are naturally an early-bird and the mornings do not bother you at all!
Comfortability During the Session
Now, for those of you who have been following along for a while know that Jace and Stephanie are both friends of mine. I met Stephanie on a trip to the Dominican Republic with an organization called A Jesus Mission in July, while Jace I have only met since their wedding in November of last year. Since their move from Washington to California, I have had the opportunity to get to know them both individually and together (naturally more with Stephanie than with Jace. No offense Jace! haha!).
I want to make sure that each couple that I come in contact with fall more in love with each than they did before the session started.
There was this natural comfortability between myself and them throughout the shoot that allowed them to be themselves. Now, this could be a good OR bad thing depending on how much they let their guard down, but it was my goal during the shoot to bring the focus back to how much they love each other. The first few months of marriage can be great! But when a lot of things happen at once, there are times when good reminders are needed. For any couple, regardless how well I know their personal lives or not, I want to make sure that each couple that I come in contact with fall more in love with each than they did before the session started.
