Ernesto & Nikka | Engagement

I am so excited to share with you Ernesto and Nikka’s engagement session! Meeting these two in person for the first time was such a treat. I had originally met them during their consultation call via Zoom after they had found me on Yelp back in June 2021. Yelp of all places! *Side note: Thank you to all the couples and vendors who have written a review on our Yelp business page. Without you, we would not have met couples like Ernesto and Nikka!

World Peace Rose Garden

I was super excited when they decided to have their engagement session at the World Peace Rose Garden in Downtown Sacramento. But what I didn’t know until their session was that one of their relatives had a wedding ceremony at the gardens. So it wasn’t a random location choice, because they knew how beautiful this rose garden is!

But what Ernesto and Nikka didn’t know is that anywhere with roses is Karissa’s happy place! I love the diversity of colors and even more the smell. Have you ever heard the phrase “stop and smell the roses?” I totally do just that whenever I pass by a rose bush in bloom!

Ernest & Nikka: Beautiful Inside & Out

One hundred percent is Ernesto and Nikka the most real and down to earth people I’ve met. Not only were they super cute together, but they genuinely care for others beyond themselves. Ernesto made Nikka laugh and giggle the whole time during their session. Which was absolutely adorable! After their session Nikka had expressed how nervous she was. Honestly you can’t even tell looking at these photos!

Ernesto is a HUGE basketball fan. There was a game playing the day of their session. To which he sacrificed the time to spend with me at their engagement session. So it was no surprise to Nikka when Ernesto wanted to incorporate the Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors custom jerseys that he used to propose to her.

To Ernesto & Nikka

Ernesto & Nikka, thank you so much trusting me to capture your love! You two have kind and genuine hearts I have had the pleasure of meeting. Thank you for contributing to my coffee addiction and your willingness to pay for my parking even though midweek in evenings apparently parking fees are nonexistent. Thank you for also partly celebrating your birthday with me, Ernesto. I am super grateful to capture your guys’ engagement season of life. Until 2023!
