“Tell me your story.” Your story is the unique component that makes you, you. Stories have power. It draws out the emotion behind the event or element. It reveals a person’s character, hopes for the future, and reminds yourself and those who hear who you are as a person. Although a casual and non-provoking question, the stories shared becomes the outline of the visual story Karissa Wright Productions prepares and creates through our wedding photography and videography.
Hands down, the most beautiful weddings to be a part of documenting are the ones where anyone could tell that there has been much anticipation and excitement for this wedding day both by family and friends but especially by the bride and groom. This Flower Farm wedding outside of the East side of Sacramento in Loomis, CA, hosted the most enthusiastic couple to be married and start a life together: Kyle and Mia.
Having two wedding ceremonies and a wedding reception on the same day can feel very overwhelming and stressful to remember everything that happened. Lipika had reached out to me months before her wedding and wanted to make sure that their day would be captured perfectly with film. It was necessary to her and Alex to have vendors whom they could trust to make sure that nothing will be amiss. The significance of marriage is of value by everyone involved both family and friends to have remembered and passed down to future generations years to come.
Pedro and Susan chose to have their wedding day ceremony at University of Pacific’s Morris Chapel in Stockton. Words cannot express the preciousness these two people are to me personally and how much joy they bring in reminding me of why I do what I do. Their hearts are outwardly expressed even through the craziness of their wedding day; there was nothing that shook them from showing their love for one another and others around them.
Karissa Wright Productions had an outstanding opportunity to photograph and film at Oakdale’s The Reata for Zared and Jennifer’s August summer’s end wedding. Years, months, days, and hours were prepared and executed to make this one day of celebration of their union possible. However, for every story, there is a beginning, so let’s start there!
It was such an honor and a blessing to have had witnessed, filmed and photographed Garret and Gina’s winter elopement wedding in Sonora’s Sparks Ranch Resort. Gina had reached out to me a few weeks prior to the wedding and told me their love story. Although tragic and hard their journey was, this next chapter was a time of rejoicing for everyone.
For couples who love the ocean but not the beach, I highly recommend having your photo session near the Sutro’s Bath area in San Francisco. Unfortunately one of the more uncontrollable aspects of the area is the weather, but lucky for Jared and Janessa the sweater was cleared of clouds and the cotton candy sky was at its fullest.
The stunning view of Forest House Lodge’s ceremony site was the perfect setting to witness the heartfelt exchanging of vows between Justin and Amy and from Justin to his new son, Brandon. Looking around at the faces of Amy and Justin’s family and friends, there were tears of joy streaming out of everyone’s eyes. It had been a while since I’ve seen such an overwhelming response from all the guests. It was a true bless for Karissa Wright Productions to be a part of Justin and Amy’s wedding day by capturing their wedding video.
Karissa Wright Productions had the opportunity to be a part of David and Brittney’s wedding in Delhi capturing the special moments of their day through cinematic videography. I would describe this Delhi wedding as a green and ivy wonderland. Right before the turn of the leaves, everything was green and lush- it was like being a forest fantasy!
After much anticipation, Pedro and Susan became husband and wife in Stockton’s Morris Chapel on the University of Pacific’s campus. The stain glass windows (to which my second shooter, Gavin Moss, kept referring it as chandeliers haha!) throughout Morris Chapel brought upon a sense of reverence and timelessness to their wedding ceremony.
